Hundreds of people skipped happy hour Wednesday night and instead headed over to Century Center for the 10th annual Business Expo After Hours.
The expo is one of the region's largest and featured more than 140 area businesses this year.
Folks spent the evening sampling products and learning more about local companies.
The St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce said, every year, businesses gain clients from the expo, which makes it a great opportunity for newer companies.
“We're about an hour east of here so we really want to try and break into the South Bend market more we felt like this was the place we needed to be to showcase ourselves,” said Christina Koher, of Satek Winery
“Edible arrangements announced they're coming downtown South Bend. They're here tonight to introduce themselves so people know about them when they come downtown South Bend,” said Jeff Rea, Chamber President/CEO
The expo was not all about free food. It also featured businesses, like banks and country clubs.
More than 15,00 people stopped by.
