The head of a promotion company that was supposed to do Beyonce's concert in Malaysia says he's "disappointed and frustrated" the show is now off.
Pineapple Concerts Chairman Razlan Ahmad Razali says his firm has brought Western acts like Kanye West and Earth Wind and Fire to perform in Malaysia and was looking forward to having Beyonce perform there, too.
But the concert is off, amid talk that Beyonce wouldn't go along with demands by the Malaysian government to tone down her wardrobe and dancing for the show.
Instead, Beyonce will now take her act to Indonesia.
Razlan says while Indonesia is also a Muslim country, it doesn't have the same strict rules about what performers must wear and do on stage.
Razlan says by moving to Indonesia, Beyonce "can perform as she likes there."
She isn't the first artist to run into problems with this issue. Back in August, Gwen Stefani performed in Kuala Lumpur after making what she called "a major sacrifice" by wearing clothes that reveal little skin.
The concert was almost canceled after Muslim students and activists protested because of the singer's reputation as a sexy performer.
