DETROIT A coalition of Detroit community groups is hosting an annual meeting designed to help city residents improve neighborhoods.
The fourth annual ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Rising Summit is set for Saturday at Wayne County Community College District's Downtown Campus.
The daylong event is to feature a dozen workshops on topics such as public safety, developing businesses, fighting blight and youth employment programs.
Detroit Police Chief James Craig is among the scheduled speakers.
Admission is free and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
