One of Hollywood’s most recognizable homes won't be alone for much longer.
The 3 story, 14 room brick house that was once defended by a young Macaulay Culkin in the 1990 blockbuster "Home Alone," is off the market.
The Colonial Georgian brought on-screen fame to the upscale Chicago suburb of Winnetka, after Kevin McCallister single-handedly fended off a pair of idiotic burglars in John Hughes' hit movie.
It went up for sale in May for $2.4 million. Nearly a year later, a new owner is set to move in. They paid just under $1.6 million for $4,200 square-feet of silver screen memories.
The current owners bought the house in 1988 for $875,000, and two years later they shared it with filmmakers for nearly six months during the shoot.
