Clarence Clemons dies

Fans are saying goodbye to "The Big Man."

Clarence Clemons, the larger-than-life saxophone player for the E Street Band and a key influence on Bruce Springsteen, has died. He was 69.

Many fans have stopped by The Stone Pony, the legendary Jersey shore rock club where Clemons, Springsteen and other E Street band mates cut their musical teeth.

Springsteen says the loss of his fellow band member is "immeasurable" and that he and his bandmates are honored and thankful to have been able to stand beside him for nearly 40 years.

Clemons died Saturday evening in Florida as a result of complications from a stroke he suffered about a week ago at his home in Singer Island, Florida.

Springsteen says Clemons' life, memory and love will live on in their band.
