Charlie Weis stresses that he does everything the same every week, win or lose.

One thing was different on Sunday---he did not meet with the media.

Weis holds a day after the game press conference each Sunday, but this week's was canceled due to the team's late arrival back from Pittsburgh.

Weis will next address the media on Tuesday as he previews Saturday's UConn game.

There will likely be plenty of questions about the state of the Irish program and how it will bounce back from a 3rd loss in five games on Saturday night at Pitt that drops Notre Dame to 6-4.

There will be questions about Weis' future as the Irish head coach and questions about where the program stands as a whole.

"That's too big picture," Weis said after Saturday night's game. "I'm shortsighted. I think the most important thing is to try and get this team to worry about the last two games, in particular, just focus on one game."

The Irish have lost two in a row and are now 1-6 in November of the last two seasons.

"It's not just one person," quarterback Jimmy Clausen, defending his coach. "Notre Dame football is not just Coach Weis. It's not just the quarterback at Notre Dame, it's everybody affiliated with it."

"We just have to come to work and get ready to go for UConn."

For most fans, this season is lost and they are wondering what the future holds, but for Irish receiver Golden Tate, he views things differently.

"I don't' see it as the season is over with or whatever you guys may think it is," Tate said after the game Saturday. "I'm coming out, looking to get better. I'm looking to come out next week and get a win."

Notre Dame faces UConn in the home finale on Saturday then travels to Stanford for the season finale two days after Thanksgiving. The Cardinal are now ranked 14Th in the country after crushing USC this week.
