Thanks to breast implants, a Florida woman's doctors say she survived a stabbing attack.
Doctors say the 41-year-old stab victim's breast implant had just enough saline in it to stop the knife from piercing her chest.
The victim says her ex-fiancé’s new girlfriend attacked her outside her apartment, first scratching her car, then turning the knife on her, stabbing her repeatedly in the chest.
Doctors say the salt water and walls of the implant prevented a deadly blow.
Chief surgeon Dr. Frank Filiberto says, “It was just really lucky and fortunate. Just think about if three months ago if it happened to her, she would have been dead. She would have had a collapsed lung or hit her heart."
The stabbing suspect is facing charges for the attack.
Meantime, because of the breast implant's warranty, the manufacturer will cover the cost of the damage.
