The Los Angeles school superintendent says the entire staff at an elementary school where two teachers were arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct will be removed while the school district investigates.
Superintendent John Deasy says 88 teachers and 40 support staff at Miramonte Elementary School are being replaced.
He told parents during a meeting Monday night that a full investigation of allegations is disruptive and staffers also require support themselves to get through the scandal.
The staff will be paid while on leave.
An entire staff has been trained to come into classrooms at Miramonte to take over teaching for the time being.
United Teachers Los Angeles says the union supports a "thorough, vigorous and fair investigation of all allegations."
