The removal of the entire staff of a Los Angeles elementary school scandalized by sex abuse allegations against two teachers could be temporary.
Los Angeles Unified School District spokeswoman Monica Carazo
says Tuesday that Superintendent John Deasy will decide if and when to return the staff to Miramonte Elementary School.
The teachers and support staff technically will remain attached to Miramonte during their indefinite transfer to another school site.
Teacher Mark Berndt was charged last week with committing lewd acts on 23 children. Another teacher, Martin Springer, was arrested Friday on suspicion of fondling two girls in his classroom.
