The Governor of Illinois ordered all state agencies to stop doing business with Bank of America on Monday, until the bank bails out a Chicago business.
About 200 workers at the Republic Windows and Doors Plant staged a sit-in. They're upset because Bank of America canceled the company's financing last week, forcing it to close.
Governor Rod Blagojevich says the bank should help.
"The purpose of that money was supposed to be to provide a line of credit to businesses like this to keep workers working and keep people employed and yet Bank of America has yet to step up and say they are going to be helpful to this company,” said Governor Blagojevich.
Workers say they'll stay at the plant until they get some assurances about severance and vacation pay.
