The Green Party has named former Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of Georgia as its 2008 presidential nominee.
This makes her the second black presidential candidate in this fall's race.
McKinney is perhaps best remembered for her scuffle with a Capitol police officer in March of 2006, and for accusing the Bush administration of covering up information about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Before she left office in 2006, she introduced a bill to impeach President Bush for allegedly violating his oath of office.
