If your holiday plans include a trip to the airport, the Transportation Security Adminstration has some suggestions.
Spokeswoman Sterling Payne says do not wrap your gifts until you have passed security. Also, do not forget to put liquids in three-ounce bottles or less and put them in a one-quart plastic bag.
She also suggests that if you are traveling in the United States to get to the airport two hours before your flight.
The advice comes as an Associated Press-Ipsos poll shows that travelers have many complaints about the airport screening process: the long lines, the confiscated items, and the occasional all-too-intimate patdown.
So, to the list of practical items, Payne adds, do not forget to pack your patience.
