With more than a foot of snow on the ground in South Bend, some people are searching for an escape.
Tanners at Fun Tan in South Bend say 20 minutes in a tanning bed helps their cares melt away.

But the sweetest escape might be the real escape, to someplace greener and warmer.
The amount of time it took some passengers to get out of the South Bend Regional Airport on Wednesday was longer than normal because of ice on the tarmac. Some passengers we spoke to had been at the airport all day!
They say the wait is worth it to get to their final destinations, which include San Francisco and San Diego.
