Tyler Glynn joins 16 Morning News to discuss the debate on the debt ceiling and how the markets could be affected.

Should individual investors be concerned about the large amounts of debt?

Glynn says this is actually a good conversation to be having right now.

"The debt ceiling isn't the issue, the debt is the overall issue and what it means to the economy in the long term," Glynn said. "It's probably pretty much a political football and up to the last minute no one wants to look like they're giving in, but then they'll raise the debt ceiling. Hopefully then they'll tackle the underlying problem which is the massive amount of debt."
