Muffet's Squad set to battle at Tennessee Monday

ND vs. Tennessee women's hoops preview

The Irish women's basketball team will play at Tennessee Monday night, in search of the program's 1st ever win in Knoxville.

Of course, up until two years ago--Notre Dame had never defeated the Lady Vols period. Then came a win over Tennessee in the Elite 8. Since then, the Irish have reached NCAA Finals twice and are again ranked second in the country.

Notre Dame now owns two straight wins over the Vols, beating up on UT last year in South Bend.

Tennessee will honor former head coach Pat Summitt before the game, putting a banner in the rafters. Summitt retired before the season due to battles with early on-set dementia.

Tipoff is set for 7pm Monday. You can watch on ESPN2.
