Golson steadily improves as Notre Dame looks to Wake Forest

Notre Dame's 10-0 start is largely do to the play of its #1 ranked defense.

But certainly the play of redshirt quarterback Everett Golson has helped the Irish win the last few games and more importantly is a sign that things are going upward for the Irish offense.

Golson ran for a touchdown and threw for two more on Saturday night to help No. 3 Notre Dame beat Boston College 21-6 and keep its national championship hopes intact.

Golson completed 16 of 24 passes for 200 yards, connecting with Troy Niklas for a 7-yard touchdown at the end of the first half and with John Goodman from 18 yards out early in the second.

He has played some of his best football since sitting out the BYU game due to a concussion suffered against Stanford.
