An Olympic run for Notre Dame junior Natalie Achonwa came to an end Tuesday as Team Canada lost to the USA 91-48 in the women's basketball quarterfinals.

Achonwa scored four points, grabbed two rebounds, had one assist and a steal in her final game. It was tremendous experience for Achonwa, who was the 2nd youngest women's basketball Olympian in the entire tournament.

Achonwa averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in the tourney, helping Canada reach the quarterfinal round for the first time since 2000.

Team USA meanwhile has won 39 consecutive Olympic games, the most of any U.S. female sports team in Olympic history.

Diana Taurasi led the way with 15 points.
