Hunter Smith writes book on experiences after NFL

The name Hunter Smith is well known to football fans in Michiana. He was the starting punter for the Irish from 1995-1999, then went on to the Colts, where he punted for the Super bowl champs in 2007.

Smith is now retired, and has written a book talking about his experiences in the NFL. Smith was a member of both the Colts and Redskins during his playing days.

His book, Jersey Effect, Beyond the World Championship, explores what happens to players after the cheering stops.

Smith earned his degree at Notre Dame and now lives with his family in Zionsville, Indiana. Retirement has been relatively easy for him, but that is not always the case with some NFL players.
