Notre Dame linebacker Carlo Calabrese has made his initial court appearance on a misdemeanor count of intimidation.
A not guilty plea was entered on Calabrese's behalf during a brief court appearance Wednesday. He's scheduled to be back in court Aug. 20, less than two weeks before the season begins.
Police say Calabrese became upset last month when he saw quarterback Tommy Rees being arrested. They say he ignored warnings to stay out of the street and twice old an officer: "My people will get you."
Rees pleaded not guilty last month to one count of battery, two counts of resisting law enforcement and one count of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. The charges stem from an off-campus party.
