Second Annual Strike Out Cancer Day to be held Saturday

It's something no parent wants to hear, "your child has cancer."

But one local coach knows the feeling well, and on Mother's Day weekend, she will be getting some special recognition.

Notre Dame baseball coach Mik Aoki joined Tricia Sloma on 16 Morning News to talk about Strike Out Cancer Day.

The Notre Dame softball team will be facing Syracuse at 12:00 p.m. at Melissa Cook Stadium on Saturday, while the Notre Dame baseball team will play Rutgers on Sunday.

Before the game there will be a ceremony to honor children battling cancer, as well as activities and prizes for kids of all ages.
