Irish Icers to auction off special jerseys for charity
The Notre Dame hockey team is raising money for a special cause.
The team plays against Ferris State this Friday and Saturday. The Irish Icers will be wearing jerseys that are specially designed and will be auctioned off.
Proceeds will go to Defending the Blue Line. The organization helps kids in military families stay in the game of hockey despite the stress brought on by additional training and deployment.
It has helped over 5,000 military families since its founding.
Bidding for the jerseys begins on Wednesday and runs until January 31st at 9:30 p.m. eastern. The bids start at $200.
