Police search for suspect in morning shooting in South Bend

South Bend Police are looking for a man they say is armed and dangerous, and was involved in a shooting Monday morning.

It happened in the 2000 block of Hamilton Street around 8:30 a.m. Marcus Northern, 52, was shot while another man was grazed by a bullet. Police say there was a disagreement when someone pulled out a gun.

Derrick Jiggetts, 36, has an extensive record, including a 1995 murder charge in Chicago.

He currently lives in South Bend, is 6’ 2”, 180 pounds with hazel eyes. He also has tattoos of teardrops near his right eye.

Anyone with information is asked to call the South Bend Police Department.
