1 teen killed, another injured in South Bend shooting

Metro homicide continues to investigate a double shooting in South Bend Friday night that left one teen dead and another hospitalized.

It happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Adams St. on the city's northwest side.

A 19-year-old was taken to memorial hospital in critical condition.

Doctors initially thought he would survive, but his injuries were too severe and he died a short time later.

A 17-year-old was also taken to memorial with a gunshot wound to his groin.

He was later flown to Riley Children’s Hospital for children at IU Health in Indianapolis in critical condition.

Police have conflicting reports as to the number of teenage suspects involved in the shooting.

The incident occurred at the same home where Alejandro Tinoco and his girlfriend, Jazmin Conlee were killed earlier this year.

Police do not think the two shootings are related.
