Former South Bend Police Chief to answer questions at public meeting

Former South Bend Police Chief Daryl Boykins will speak out to the public Wednesday for the first time since the wiretapping investigation unfolded.

Boykins will meet with the community activist group, Citizens United for a Better Government.

The group is asking for the release of the wiretapping tapes.

Boykins has never said how he feels about the group's support of him. He is expected to answer questions from the public about his planned lawsuit which claims he should not have been demoted.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Emmanuel Community Church in South Bend.
