That is because you have to be a member to join - quite pricey. The place was managed well, but giving up memberships to places is one of the first things people cut back when holding onto their money. I'm surprised they didn't close 2-3 years ago!

What about all the brides (like me) who have put deposits down for their weddings/rehearsals? It would have been nice to find out another way than reading the morning paper! Also, where is my money?

I've lived here for 6 yrs and this is the first I've heard of the place. Sad.

Our family has been members there for decades. This is an unfortunate situation to say the least, since in my view, the food and service at the Summit Club have always been excellent. Of course the view is unmatched, and I have found the pricing to be quite reasonable. The lunch menu is an absolute hidden gem anywhere in the city of South Bend, and lunch has always impressed visitors that we hosted there. Part of this issue, perhaps, is that this is a hidden gem.

I heard that management was non existent recently and not sure they were serving the quality products their menu said. I used to be in the restaurant business and most places go under from Mismanagement.
