Charges have been filed against a woman involved in a fiery crash that killed a family of four from Mishawaka.
The tragic accident happened October 2011 on U.S. 12 in Cass County. Cecelia Chaney of Niles started to veer off the road, when she tried to correct it and crossed the center line, hitting the family's car head-on. Both vehicles rolled and caught on fire.
Parents Curtis Stone and Stacey Garza both died along with their baby, Devin, and his grandmother, Kathleen Marks.
Chaney was the only one who survived.
According to the Cass County prosecutor's office, Chaney is now facing four charges of moving violation causing death.
If convicted, she could spend up to four years in jail and be forced to pay up TO $8,000 in fines.
Chaney turned herself in this afternoon and was released on a $5,000 bond pending her arraignment May 30, 2012.
