Lake County man arrested for threatening Obama, FBI
Posted: 5:03 PM May 5, 2012
Reporter: AP

A Lake County man is behind bars after he was accused of making threats against the FBI and Presdient Obama.

32-year-old Jimmie Ray of Hobart, Ind. was arrested last Friday for allegedly leaving a series of threatening, expletive-filled voice mail messages.

He's been charged with retaliating against a federal official by threat and threatening President Obama.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Ray left six messages at the FBI office in Merrillville beginning April 25th. The messages complain about FBI agents and contained a threat to blow up the white house.

His attorney says he's filed a notice of an insanity defense.

Ray is currently being held and evaluated.
