Nipsco upgrades from estimate meter readings

Electric bills for Nipsco customers are about to become a lot more accurate.

The company has announced plans to upgrade all of their natural gas and electric meters.

The new meters will register the meter readings through an automatic system, enabling the company to collect readings 21 times faster than before.

This brings an end to the days of "estimate" readings.

Upgrades are already being installed and will be in place for all customers by the end of 2016.

You'll receive a letter in the mail before they work on your home.
