Scientists in Argentina say they have cloned four cows that are capable of producing human insulin in their milk.
The cloned animals are still calves, but the scientists say they will start producing insulin-infused milk when they reach adulthood.
At the news conference yesterday the director of the project said that the breakthrough could result in the cows providing large quantities of human insulin at low costs.
That is great news to diabetes' sufferers who are dependent on insulin that is currently expensive.
The company that spearheaded the project wants to open up a pharmaceutical dairy for the insulin producing cows in the future.
