Rolling the Dice on Your Health

If you enjoy gambling, odds are you are rolling the dice on your health.

A new study shows people who gamble at least five times a year are considered at-risk gamblers.

They have more health problems than those who do not gamble as much.

Researchers found these at-risk gamblers had higher rates of obesity, alcoholism and hypertension.

They were also more likely to be smokers than those who gambled less.

Problem gamblers reported higher rates of chest pain and cirrhosis of the liver.

Pathological gamblers were more likely to have an elevated heart rate and other serious liver diseases.
