Thanksgiving Cooking Means Increases in Burns

As ovens across America work overtime Thursday, the chances of burns increase, especially for curious kids.

University of Florida surgeons say one of the most common injuries occurs when adults open the oven door and toddlers reach in to touch the inside of the oven.

Experts also recommend keeping a close eye on your scalding hot drinks, such as cocoa.

That is because children tend to reach for them when they see adults drinking them.
