Halloween Treats Could Mean Trouble for Orthodontists

While this week is a good one for ghosts and goblins, Halloween celebrations can be a nightmare for Orthodontists.

Across the country more than four million kids have braces and you can bet almost all of them will want to dig in to some Halloween treats.

The American Association of Orthodontists says if kids with braces have to eat candy, to stick with melt in your mouth treats like peanut butter cups and soft chocolate.

The dentists recommend staying away from hard or sticky candy.

They also want to make sure no one with braces bobs for apples.
