Some women are putting a new twist on an old fashioned treatment to keep their skin soft and smooth.
Dermaplaning is gaining fans by shaving off dead skin cells and taking away peach fuzz from many women's faces.
Doctors use a surgical blade to gently scrape off the surface layer of skin.
Skin experts say it plays an important role in helping women look as good as they can.
Dermaplaning client Dana Walker says, "It smoothed out my skin, my skin feels really clean and smooth."
Plastic surgeon, Dr. Craig Hobar, states, "It works well there's no downtime, it's effective and it's fun to be able to have it done and walk out and look better right away."
Baylor Aesthetician, Kim Harden, says, "I've noticed it's become very popular."
Dermaplaning costs about $150 a treatment.
Now if you have peach fuzz and you're worried it will grow back thicker if you have dermaplaning done, doctors say don't worry.
That’s just an old wives tale.
