Hunger Pains Solved With A High-Protein Diet

Getting rid of hunger pains might have more to do with what you eat, not how much you eat.

Doctors and nutritionists have long known that high-protein diets make people feel fuller and reduce the amount of food people eat.

Now they may know why!

Scientists in London have identified a hunger-fighting hormone called Peptide YY. It was previously shown to reduce the amount of food a person eats by as much as one-third.

In the current study, higher protein diets stimulated more of the hormone than either high-fat or high-carb diets.
