As Vice President Joe Biden visits an American Seating Co. factory in Grand Rapids to pitch the administration's plan to reward businesses that bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., it's clear the presidential election season is well under way in Michigan.
Republicans are gearing up for this month's GOP presidential primary, with Michigan native Mitt Romney expected to do well.
Biden's Wednesday visit comes less than a week after President
Barack Obama stopped at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to urge colleges and universities to make education more affordable.
Biden's expected to talk about offering tax credits to companies
that return jobs to the U.S. and eliminating incentives to ship jobs overseas.
The White House says such incentives put companies like American Seating at a competitive disadvantage.
