Former Michigan judge charged in misconduct case
Lansing, Mich. A former Jackson County judge thrown out of office for misconduct now faces charges from the Michigan attorney general's office for dismissing traffic tickets issued to his wife and court staff without just cause.

A former Jackson County judge thrown out of office for misconduct now faces charges from the Michigan attorney general's office for dismissing traffic tickets issued to his wife and court staff without just cause.
The charges announced Wednesday are connected to accusations that led the Michigan Supreme Court to remove District Court Judge James Justin from office last month.
Justin had been a judge since 1977. The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission sought his removal.
A news release from Attorney General Bill Schuette's office says arrangements are being made for arraignment.
Justin is charged with four counts of misconduct in office. That's a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
A message seeking comment was left with an attorney representing Justin.
