Police are conducting renewed searches at the home of a suburban Detroit man named as a "person of interest" in his wife's death.
Detroit-area broadcasters reported that officers entered Bob Bashara's Grosse Pointe Park home on Wednesday morning.
Bashara's attorney, David Griem, tells TV stations WXYZ and WDIV that a lawyer friend inside the home said police declined to show a search warrant. Griem said the lawyer, Bashara and Bashara's other
were moved into the family room of the home.
The body of 56-year-old Jane Bashara was found Jan. 25 in her sport utility vehicle in a Detroit alley. She had been strangled.
Grosse Pointe Park police chief David Hiller has said Bob Bashara was a "person of interest" in the slaying. No one has been charged.
