A man who police say threatened to kill someone at a shopping mall after being told he couldn't return an Xbox gaming system without a receipt has been charged with disturbing the peace.
Troy police say 43-year-old Robert Nelson Odell Jr. of Detroit also has been charged with possession or sale of weapons after they allegedly found a stun gun in his handbag.
Police with rifles stormed into the GameStop store at Oakland Mall about 11 a.m. Wednesday after a store employee called 911. They say Odell began making threats after being told he couldn't return his Xbox.
No one was injured.
Odell is to return to 52-4 District Court in Troy on Dec. 10. He requested a court-appointed attorney.
