Flint-area authorities say a couple were found dead after a fire swept through their mobile home.
The fire was reported shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday in Genesee County's Vienna Township, about 60 miles north-northwest of Detroit. The victims were pronounced dead less than 10 minutes after firefighters arrived.
Jessica Stafford, a friend of Edwin Elliott's, told The Flint Journal that his three sons were spending Thanksgiving with their mother and were away from the mobile home at the time. Neighbors are organizing a fundraiser to benefit the boys, ages 11 to 14.
The cause of the fire hasn't been determined. The state police fire marshal's office is aiding Clio fire investigators.
