A funeral is Wednesday for Steffey, who died in a roadside bombing Oct. 25. The procession was to begin at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home and end at Sault Area High School, where visitation will run.
The funeral service with full military honors was to be followed by a gathering at the high school cafeteria.
Governor Jennifer Granholm has ordered that all flags in Michigan be flown at half-staff Wednesday in Steffey's honor.
