Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and state Attorney General Mike Cox continue to squabble over legislation the health insurer wants passed by the end of the year.
Blue Cross said Monday it is providing Cox with financial documentation he recently requested. Blue Cross says changes in state law are needed related to the individual health insurance market for the company to remain on solid financial footing.
Cox and Blue Cross competitors are critical of the proposed changes, saying they would hurt consumers and give Blue Cross unfair competitive advantages.
Cox said Monday his office will review the documents.
No deal appears imminent between the Democrat-led House and Republican-led Senate on the Blue Cross legislation.
