It's been a year of change for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Jackson.
The charity's "Fill the Bus" clothing drive last year collected an actual busload of donated clothing. But by the time organizers called off yesterday's drive three hours early, they'd only collected four bags of clothes and a stereo receiver.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot says organizers suspect the poor showing was a combination of the weak economy and not enough publicity for the event.
Volunteer John Sisk says he thinks people can't afford a lot of new things, so they're holding on to what they have.
