Detroit police are searching for a 2-year-old girl reported missing by her mother's boyfriend.
Police are treating the matter as a reported abduction and have issued an Amber Alert.
They say the boyfriend told them he left 2-year-old Tangena Hussain in his car when he entered a gas station store to buy gum Thursday night. He says she was missing when he returned to the car.
Police say the man didn't search the area for the girl but instead drove to her mother's workplace and picked her up.
Tangena is described as 3-foot-2 and 34 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a burn scar on her chin and lip.
