They may be 600 plus away from South Bend, but Notre Dame is still treating this football weekend like a home football weekend.
The Irish held their traditional night before the game Pep Rally outside the Lincoln Center in New York City in front of thousands of fans.
Coach Brian Kelly thanked those sitting in the very back barely able to see for 'paying thousands to get in.' The Pep Rally was free to the public.
The Yankees sent former player and coach Lee Mazzilli to present coach Kelly with an official "Key to the Clubhouse" which of course, was shaped as a baseball bat.
Former Irish alum and New York Giants standout Justin Tuck was on hand to speak to the crowd.
Kelly named Ian Williams and Kyle Rudolph as his gameday captains. It was a nice tribute to two of Notre Dame's best players, who will are unable to play due to injury.
You can see Notre Dame take on Army in the first football game at the New Yankee Stadium right here on Channel 16. Coverage begins at 7pm Saturday night.
