Officials say they're no closer to naming a suspect in the December murder of an elderly Mishawaka woman.

84-year-old Lois Hickey was found murdered in her home on East Donaldson St. on December 29.

A large amount of blood was found at the scene. Officials say some of that blood is believed to have come from the killer.

Blood samples were sent for DNA testing. That information was then entered into the State CODIS, the Combined DNA Indexing System. It's a database of DNA samples taken from anyone convicted of a crime against a person and sentenced to more than a year in prison since 1998.

The Indiana State Lab confirmed the blood came from a male. However, the CODIS search did not turn up a match.

Metro-Homicide continues to investigate Hickey's murder.
