The annual “Science Alive” exhibit took place on Saturday at the St. Joseph County Library.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., kids and families had a chance to stop by and take a closer look at all aspects of science.
Booths, set up all throughout the library, taught kids about everything from architecture, to chemistry, to outer space.
"There's a lot of fun stuff,” says Stephen Francis, a participant at the Science Alive exhibit,”We've learned about birds and stuff. We've been able to fly digital planes. We've done remote control cars, and it's really fun.”
More than 30 exhibits were on display and 2011 marks the 18th year for the Science Alive.
"Some kids spark some totally different interest than some other kid,” says Arvin Delacruz, from Arkos Design, “But to see them be excited about architecture, whether it's architecture on earth or or in space, it's pretty fascinating just to see them really excited about science in general."
