Businessmen and women from throughout St. Joseph County gathered Tuesday to honor those who have made an impact on the local community and economy.
The St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce hosted the Salute to Business Luncheon in South Bend.
Awards were given to both companies and business leaders who are helping the county become more successful.
The main message at the luncheon Tuesday was working together to help everyone win.
Jeff Rea, St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, describes how the workforce makes a community successful, “If we've got the right work force, right assets, we position this community to be successful.”
Greg Downes, Business Award Winner, gives some business advice, “Got to pull together in tougher times and all pull in the same direction.”
More than 700 people attended the event, and organizers say it was a success and look forward to the future.
