The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association said the number of RV owning households has grown to a new peak, which could be good news for companies in Elkhart County.
They said RV owners now top 8.9 million households. That's up from 7.9 million back in 2005.
The data was presented in Washington D.C. this week.
Experts say this shows the appeal of RV’s, despite economic challenges. They attribute a lot of the growth to the "Go RV-ing" outreach campaign.
