Whether people like hitting the slots or the restaurants, the Four Winds Casino Resort has seen some major demand over the past few years.
Now, they are expanding.
There are two different parts to this expansion. They are adding a nine-story hotel building plus an event center that can seat up to 1600 people. Management said this should all be finished by next summer.
The nine-story building will more than double the number of rooms at the resort, bring the total number of rooms up to 415.
While Four Winds has several restaurants and stores, it does not currently have an entertainment venue. The new event center will open up their options for concerts, weddings or other special events.
The resort's general manager said this expansion is a result of the success that Four Winds has had since it opened and the high demand in the area.
"We're really in the perfect position to maintain a great part of the market that we've had," said Mark Harkness, Four Winds Casino general manager. "It's going to really meet the demand at which we currently can't supply."
