There are a lot of family fun events going on in Michiana on Thursday night.
The Westside Middle School jazz bands will be performing at Adams Bistro in Concord Mall to help raise money for the music programs. The program runs from 6-8:30 p.m. Special guests include the Elkhart Memorial High School jazz band and faculty jazz combo. Admission is $5 bucks per family or $3 for individuals.
Over at Northridge High School in Middlebury, they’ll debut their performance of Barry Manilow's musical Copacabana at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $8. There’s another performance at the same time on Friday night.
If you’d like to grab a bite to eat with the family, you can also support a great cause. Salsa's Mexican Grill in Mishawaka is holding its grand opening fiesta from 5-8 p.m. Notre Dame Men’s Lacrosse coach Kevin Corrigan will be there to help the restaurant raise money for the Champions for Children fund. There will be a mariachi band and a ribbon cutting with Mayor Dave Wood. Salsa's is located between Grape and Main.
